Combining Interval and Qualitative Reasoning for Fault Diagnosis
نویسندگان
چکیده
A methodology is proposed to diagnose faults from a detection system that allows to express uncertainty with intervals in parameters and measurements. A fault is detected by comparing current measurements with computed external and internal approximations of behavior. The results are applied to diagnose faults. A qualitative data set is obtained in order to create fault rules. A fault library is built from these rules to make fault diagnosis. Diagnosis is given by a set of the most possible faults with similar behavior. Copyright c ©2005 IFAC

Soft Computing Approaches to Fault Diagnosis for Dynamic Systems
Recent approaches to fault detection and isolation for dynamic systems using methods of integrating quantitative and qualitative model information, based upon soft computing (SC) methods are surveyed. In this study, the use of SC methods is considered an important extension to the quantitative model-based approach for residual generation in FDI. When quantitative models are not readily availabl...
متن کاملA proposal for the diagnosis of uncertain dynamic systems based on interval models
The performance of a model-based diagnosis system could be affected by several uncertainty sources, such as, model errors, uncertainty in measurements, and disturbances. This uncertainty can be handled by mean of interval models. The aim of this thesis is to propose a methodology for fault detection, isolation and identification based on interval models. Especially a modal interval based techni...
متن کاملHybrid-Knowledge-Models-Based Intelligent Fault Diagnosis Strategies for Liquid-propellant Rocket Engines
This paper focuses on a qualitative fault diagnosis method based on the integration and fusion of shallow and deep knowledge for liquid-propellant rocket engines (LRE). The paper firstly clarifies the concept and the types of LRE diagnosis knowledge. Later, from the isomorphic transform point of view, the paper analyses the correlation of different knowledge and knowledge representation, and fo...
متن کاملA Hybrid Approach to Fault Diagnosis in Network and System Management
In this paper, several Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques such as Rule-Based Reasoning (RBR), Bayesian Networks (BNs), Neural Networks (NNs), Case-Based Reasoning (CBR), Qualitative Reasoning (QR), and Model-Based Reasoning (MBR) are described. Then an automated management system prototype is presented. Finally, a hybrid approach to automated network and system management is proposed. Howe...
